Chinese time-honored brand
Rongbaozhai is a well-known time-honored shop that specializes in the four treasures of study both domestically and internationally, with a history of over 300 years. Rongbaozhai is located in Liulichang West Street outside the Hepingmen Gate in Beijing. It is a tall antique building with antique appearance and carved beams and painted rafters.
The predecessor of Beijing Rongbaozhai, "Songzhuzhai" Nanzhi Shop, has a history of more than 300 years since its establishment in 1672. In 1894, the "Songzhu Studio" was established with the serial number "Rongbao Studio", and a "Tie Pai Zuo" organization was added, laying the foundation for the development of the woodblock watermark industry later on.
On September 28, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and five other departments issued a notice on the announcement of the review results of Chinese time-honored brands, confirming the review results and making them public. Rongbaozhai was selected.
